Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and want you to know what type of information we collect and what we do with it. Commitment to data security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.  Every page of our website is secure; not just the checkout pages.

Secure communications on the web require attention to authentication, encryption and data integrity. All three are addressed by industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. We use SSL to communicate with secure browsers. This means that your name, address, credit card numbers and any other information you provide through SSL are encrypted in a way that makes it extremely difficult for others to decode. We use technology provided by Stripe to make your checkout as secure as possible. You can tell if your connection is secure when you see a green lock at the top or bottom of your screen, to the left of the page address or a green bar at the top (depending on browser type).  Every page of our website is secure and not just the checkout page.

Payment Processing Security

You can shop with confidence. We have partnered with Stripe, a leading payment gateway since 2011, to accept credit card payments safely and securely for our customers.  Stripe investors include Sequoia Capital, Visa, American Express, PayPal, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk as well as many others.

The Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the electronic processing networks using Transport Layer Security (TLS).  TLS refers to the process of securely transmitting data between the client—the app or browser that you are using—and our server. This was originally performed using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. However, this is outdated and no longer secure, and has been replaced by TLS. The term “SSL” continues to be used colloquially when referring to TLS and its function to protect transmitted data.  Stripe adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:

  • 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
  • Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
  • Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
